Our Team

Betsy has nearly 20 years of experience in entrepreneurship in Latin America and the U.S., in addition to experience in the non-profit and public sectors.  As a coach, she helps individuals and organizations maximize their impact by offering responsive coaching, wise thought partnership, and tools. She coaches entrepreneurs and public and non-profit leaders, and has taught on the topics of entrepreneurship and leadership.

Betsy became an Executive Director at the age of 26, and developed systems to manage volunteers, develop and manage a Board of Directors, raise funds from a range of sources and create, implement and evaluate programming, all on the foundation of strong, collaborative relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.  In this role, she developed her coaching expertise, providing coaching and support to over 100 small business owners.

Betsy then worked for the City of Boston, leading small business technical assistance programs.  This experience provided her with unique insights into small business support systems, as well as public sector program management, and staff and team development across union and non-union roles.

Her most recent roles have allowed her to hone her management skills in the fields of economic development and entrepreneurship, as she led and developed teams at the Metropolitan Area Planning Council and now as the Regional Executive Director of BUILD Boston, an organization that teaches entrepreneurship to high school students.  In the latter role, Betsy rebuilt the team, implementing systems that resulted in 70% growth in individuals served by BUILD Boston.

Betsy has served on a number of boards, and launched a network for entrepreneurs of faith in Greater Boston.  Betsy has a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, is trained in mediation and facilitation, and has a certificate in non-profit management.
